The graph presents the number of four distinct types of meat consumed by European country between 1979 and 2004.

Overview, before 1989, people consumed beef the most and fish the least,while in the next 5 years, people turned to consume chicken the most.

In 1979, about 220 grams of beef were consumed per person per week, which was the largest number among these four meat. Then, the figure experienced a dramatic fluctuation for the next 5 years before a stable change from 1984 to 1989. After that the figure continually decreased and reached its bottom at roughly 100 grams in 2004. Similarly,  the number of consuming lamb maintained a decrease tread through all the time,which reached the lowest point of 50 grams in 2004.

For Chicken, the figure of it ranked the third at the beginning, which was approximately 145 grams. While the consumption of chicken grew significantly during the 25 years and reached its peak at approximately 250 grams., which exceeded lamb in 1980(149 grams) and beef in 1989(190 grams) respectively. For fish consumption, the figure fluctuated slightly around 50 grams in the 25 years.
