#话题分析

5-8月的口语题库中还是比较接近生活化的开放性话题，比如这道《生活中的计划》就是属于指向性不明的事件类话题，也就是说，这道话题的范围很广，看似生活中的点点滴滴都可以说，但这道题的难点在于我们通常做计划都是针对工作和学习，这道题恰恰排除了这两个方面，这就让很多烤鸭们当场懵逼~

首先我们来了解一下本次话题中“plan ”的同义词辨析，包括“plot、prepare”：

plan：v. 计划，安排 ，普通用词，指事前仔细筹划、安排。

plot：v. 策划，密谋，通常指秘密策划违法行为或针对某政要、政府的阴谋活动。

A plan that I’ve had for a long time is to become a successful businessman. I know this might sound a bit boring in a way, but I don’t think it is really. I have always been interested in the lives and attitudes of entrepreneurs, from all over the world, and I think that the idea of owning and running one’s own business is very exciting.I would like to work with consulting for the food and beverage industry. The reason is because my father has always helped to run restaurants, and worked on the marketing management side of the industry, so I already feel I have some experience and background in this industry.

Also, I love food and food culture, so I believe it would be a kind of business that I would get into and succeed in because I already have a passion for it, both on a personal level and on a business level. My plan is to get a formal qualification like an MBA, which would help to focus my knowledge of business and also function in more international business contexts. I would like to run a restaurant that could expand overseas, you see, like Ding Tai Feng, or something like this, which has famous branches in New York City as well as Beijing.So, my plan is to study an MBA, at the same time as working with my father’s restaurant marketing consultant business, then found my own business and start to develop it. Then, hopefully, if things go well, I can take it to the next level, hire the right people, and grow the business, starting by having a few restaurants in major Chinese cities, then taking it to the next level if I can get the right investors to help me. That’s my plan, anyway, and I know my father can help me out, so I think I’m off to a good start with that plan.

     # Should parents make plans for children？

Well, it depends on the kinds of plans. If we have to make an itinerary for a trip or consider how to spend a summer vacation, I think it is totally acceptable to let the children make their own arrangements, since it is a valuable opportunity to exercise their planning ability. But when we arefacing the selection of occupations or what a child should major in, it might be more sensible to have the parents make plans after they have discussed with their sons or daughters, since children are normally not mature enough to make reasonable decisions.

# When should children start to make plans for themselves?

Legally, children can make their own decisions when they reach the age of majority, which is 18 years of age.

     # What things should be planned on a daily basis?

Daily planning is the act of mapping out one's daily activities. Daily planning can involve writing down a schedule, having a to-do list, deciding on what meals are going to be eaten or how much money can be spent, and other daily issues of concern. Daily planning often happens with the use of a daily planner template.

     # Are plans always necessary? Can people succeed without plans?

Going back to the original question of whether or not you really need a business plan, you may still be able to build a successful business without a plan, but it is most certainly easier to do with a well-constructed business plan in your hands.
