Of late, more and more developing countries are joining the wave of tourism development. I tend to think that they do so based on their fragile state of the economy, and to both the local population and the government, it is a favorable decision.

The primary reason why developing countries expand their tourist industry is the small investment it requires. By exploiting the potential 开发潜能of tourism, which mainly refers to natural scenery and historical remains, these countries can rapidly integrate into 加入 the international economy. In comparison, following the traditional path of industrialization, to them, would be too demanding 要求过高 in both capital 资本 and solid technological strength科技力量. Besides, tourism is hugely rewarding 回报巨大. Without much investment, it can be a starting point for local economic take-off 经济起飞, as a constant flow of tourists can contribute to the destination countries with payment on recreation equipment and other daily expenses here.

Scenic spots, transport, hotels, and restaurants all generate jobs where they are needed the most, which can improve the quality of life for people in this area. From a larger scale, with international connections promoted, these developing countries can leverage 利用 them to bridge more business collaborations with others in the long run, thus accelerating their development to catch up with other advanced countries.
