各位烤鸭们是否能够发现这三句话中的问题呢？
①Death penalty may be more humane. Because the criminal would not suffer the torture of life imprisonment.
②Marriage is the result and extension of love, therefore, romantic love is the most important condition for marriage.
③Changes in lifestyle and diet over the last twenty years have caused that more and more children become obese.

首先我们先来看第①句：Death penalty may be more humane. Because the criminal would not suffer the torture of life imprisonment.
本句的问题出现在because的使用上。Because是引导状语从句的连接词，用来连接两个句子，体现句间的因果关系。该句的错误在于because没有连接句子，原因句单独使用，没有和结果衔接。
修改结果如下：Death penalty may be more humane because the criminal would not suffer the torture of life imprisonment.
删除前一句的句号，小写because。
其他容易犯相同错误的衔接手段如下：
表示原因：since, as；表示让步：although, even if/though, while；表示转折：while；
接下来我们看第②句：Marriage is the result and extension of love, therefore, romantic love is the most important condition for marriage.
本句的问题出现在therefore的使用上。therefore为表示结果的副词，不具有连词的作用。该句的错误在于使用therefore来连接句子。
修改结果如下：Marriage is the result and extension of love. Therefore, romantic love is the most important condition for marriage.
把逗号改为句号，therefore要大写。
其他容易犯相同错误的衔接手段如下：
表示结果：thus, hence；表示转折：however, nevertheless；表示时间：then。
最后我们来看一下第③句话：Changes in lifestyle and diet over the last twenty years have caused that more and more children become obese.
本句话的问题出现在cause的使用上。cause为表示结果的动词，但是cause后不可接从句。该句的错误在于cause后直接接了由that引导的从句。
修改结果如下：Changes in lifestyle and diet over the last twenty years have caused more and more children becoming obese.
删除掉that，把从句中的谓语动词become修改成非谓语becoming。

1. Where do you study?
I’m studying in Beijing University. My university has a good reputation in China and it’s quite hard to get in. So, I’ve buckled down to my studies and managed to get through all the exams a year before. Well, fortunately, I finally got in my ideal university with my favourite major.
我在北京大学读书。我的大学在中国有很好的声誉且很难考入。所以我一年前就开始很认真的对待学习，通过了所有考试。幸运的是，我最终进入了我梦想的大学读自己的专业。
2. What subject are you studying?
Well, I’m doing business management. I’ve taken some courses like the marketing, organizational management, advertising and something like that. Well, to be honest, it wasn't my first choice. I wanted to study chemistry at first. But in some way, I guess, business management has a promising career opportunity.

3. What do you do with your classmates after classes?

4. What would you like to do after graduation?

5. Do you think your subject will be useful in the future?
Well, I really doubt that. You know, most of the theories or definitions that I learned in my university, just a kind of theoretical stuff. Well, lots of the examples in the textbook are actually designed or designated for ideal or typical circumstances. I think it’s out dated and not applicable to the real world situations.
